Summer Wiedenbein
Summer began her love of flowers at a young age; she grew up on 18 acres in Cincinnati and always had a love of gardening and “playing in the dirt”. As she grew up this love of the outdoors fostered her interest in floral design when she began planning her own wedding. The design process was fascinating to her and she felt a connection with the flowers. “I had been told most of my life that I had “good eye, it just seemed to come naturally.” In 2006 she took a leap of faith and bought Mariemont Florist. Under her ownership, Mariemont’s wedding division flourished-doubling the number of weddings in the first year. The store also won numerous horticultural awards under her ownership. Feeling a tug to spend more time with the brides, she joined with Jones the Florist in 2008. Many brides feel a connection to Summer because she is close in age to most of the brides, which allows her to understand their vision as well as her detailed approach to the wedding day. She is continuously referred by her past brides and their families. “My goal is to leave nothing in question, communication is key, I will meet with, email, and talk with my brides as often as they need to ensure they feel confidant in their designs, I truly enjoy getting know the brides and turning their vision into a reality.”

Robert Lee
Began his floral design career in Washington, D.C. His early experience was purely self – taught and a result of frequent entertaining and constant support of fundraising activities for the Arts. When Robert first moved to Cincinnati, he was hired as the manager of a small floral shop and it was here that he learned the proper fundamentals of floral design. Robert then moved to Covent Garden Florist which still exists on the East side of Cincinnati in Mt. Washington. Robert blossomed here winning Best of Show, the Frances Poetker Award and both gold and silver medals in the Professional Floral and Dramatic Table Setting categories of the Cincinnati Flower Show in years past. Most recently Robert also placed second in the dramatic table setting competition during the Night To Remember event hosted by the International Special Events Society. And he took home a gold medal in the dramatic table setting competition at the 2005 Cincinnati Flower Show. Robert has a knack for transforming the average wedding ceremony and reception into a spectacular event to remember with his innovated floral designs.
